Telehealth consent
This explains what a telehealth consultation with Dr Buttons involves and what you agree to when you book.

What telehealth is
A telehealth consultation is a real-time appointment with a registered practitioner by phone or video, rather than in person. It suits many, but not all, situations. Your practitioner will tell you if an in-person review is needed.
Not a diagnosis
The questionnaire you complete is not a diagnosis and does not decide your treatment. It collects your history so your practitioner is prepared. A registered practitioner reviews your answers and speaks with you in real time before recommending or prescribing anything.
Real-time review
We do not prescribe prescription medicines asynchronously. Any treatment decision is made by a practitioner during a real-time consultation, and only where it is clinically appropriate for you.
Your responsibilities
Please give accurate and complete information, including your medications, allergies and relevant history. This keeps any care safe. Tell your practitioner if your circumstances change.
Emergencies
Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 000 immediately or go to your nearest emergency department.
Consent to contact
By booking, you consent to us contacting you by phone, SMS and email about your consultation and care.
